Organizational health assessment
Eight domains. A benchmarked read.
About 10 to 11 minutes across governance, leadership and staffing, strategy, financial health and controls, fundraising, program outcomes, systems and documentation, and external relations. Each domain is scored and benchmarked on its own. Your results appear on screen the moment you finish, and a copy is emailed to you.
What this is, and what it is not.
- 32 questions across eight domains, roughly 10 to 11 minutes. Every question describes a concrete state, not an opinion about yourselves.
- Fundraising is one domain of eight. It contributes exactly one eighth of the composite, because an organization can raise money well and still be exposed on cash, governance, retention, or documentation.
- Each domain gets its own score out of 5, its own band label, its own benchmark with the sample size shown, and its own recommendation.
- Every factual question offers "not sure". That answer is recorded as a documentation finding, not as a failure.
- Your band, your profile line, all eight domain bands and a named strength appear the moment you finish, with no form to fill in. Your name and a working email open the full report: every score out of 5, every percentile with its sample size, the hundred word read, and the twelve month conditions.
The eight domains
- 1. Governance, Board, and Compliance
- 2. Leadership, Staffing, and Culture
- 3. Strategy and Adaptability
- 4. Financial Health and Controls
- 5. Fundraising and Revenue Development
- 6. Program Delivery and Outcomes
- 7. Systems, Data, and Documentation
- 8. External Relations and Community Standing
- Strong
- The practice is documented, owned and running without heroics.
- Solid
- The practice works, with one clear addition that would make it durable.
- Uneven
- Some of the practice exists, but it depends on who is available that week.
- Underbuilt
- The practice has not been built yet, so results depend on circumstance.
Estimated time: 10 to 11 minutes. Your answers save as you go, so you can leave and come back.
