The story

An executive first, an advisor second.

As a nonprofit chief executive, I built boards, led fundraising and campaigns, and owned the metrics that proved what worked, including growing annual revenue from a hundred thousand dollars to two million. I know what it costs an organization to make a real turn, because I made them with a staff and a board watching.

And I've been the executive on the other side of the table, hiring consultants and learning firsthand which ones strengthen an organization and which ones just bill it. The good ones left the team more capable than they found it. The rest left a deck.

Marque exists because that second kind is far too common in this sector, and because the moments that decide an organization's next decade deserve a peer, not a vendor.

That vantage is the standard I hold my own work to.
